Kieran, after reading this poem I envisioned cliffs. This poem had a good rhyme shceme, an interesting metaphor, and imagery that made the cliffs real. After I read the poem I felt a little sad because I got the impression that the cliffs were ignoring the people. This poem vaguely reminded me of something in the genre of Emily Dickinson. But I thought it was a good poem.
The beginning of the poem was great--awesome rhyming scheme;imagery abounds! However, I don't quite understand your ending!
When we went there, 800 feet up, you were amazed and awed....um, you were smiling :)

Kieran, your poem intrigued me so much that I went and looked for photographs of the Cliffs of Moher. They are awe inspiring, and I get what you mean when you say they give back our trust.... And the ending is great. I don't know if I get your it the way you meant it, but can you imagine if they could make us smile for every mile? Takes my breath away.

I really enjoyed reading this, because of the fantastic imagery. You really expressed how big the mountains are, and how long they are. I was a little dissapointing with the second paragraph, because I feel that it doesn't fit with the poem. You have a great first paragraph then it falls a little flat in the middle. But gladly, you pick it up with the ending. I like the "Oh Cliffs of Moher, why o why". It adds character to your poem. So all I would do to improve this poem is work on the middle. Other than that, great poem!
